A Romantic Dinner?? Boca Grande Dining

Feeling romantic tonight?…good. Here are some tips to make a so-so night into a romantic extravaganza. First impressions are huge when setting up the night for your partner. This is easy if you already know what your boyfriend or girlfriend likes to eat and what type of ambiance he or she is used to. What if you don’t know enough about them to decide where to go? That is definitely the question.

You can find out by asking a million questions or you can use a process of elimination. First, start with the atmosphere. If you know what type of background your dates has culturally that is, then stay close to that heritage when choosing food. Secondly, there are not a lot of people who would not want to stare out to a view of the city or a view of the water, make it a window table that has something to look at instead of a brick wall…unless you’re into that sort of thing…ha. Moving on, the perfect time of day for a view is sunset. If you can’t make sunset happen at dinner, try and see the sunset before dinner together, and remember you are setting up an evening, not just the dinner.

Alright, you have found a dining place and the right atmosphere, now what? Call the restaurant and get reservations first. That is a must. While you are talking to the restaurant ask if they can place candles on the table before hand and light them. You might have to bring them in to the restaurant, but that is not a hassle. Just leave them at the front desk with your instructions. It is also nice to put flowers on the table, but you don’t have to get to crazy about this.

Here is another idea, dinner cruising. You have the luxury of living in a ocean community (how lucky can you get huh?). These cruises can be wonderfully romantic and they last about 2-3 hours. It seems almost too easy to just take a cruise and get the whole romantic dinner package at once. With a dinner cruise you get atmosphere and a view.

As with a lot of things in life, location is crucial. If you choose the dinner cruise make sure you go on the trip hungry. They usually have three courses and great desserts. Good luck with your dinner plans!
