There are over 25 miles of trails on Sanibel Island. For the avid cyclist, this isn’t the perfect combination of slopes, hills, flat paths, but it does veer from the streets in certain sections. For the recreational cyclist, you can pick and choose which parts of the trails to embark on. With most of the trails running along side of the street, it’s hard to get lost.

One feature to the bike trails are that they do take you into Sanibel Island main tourist areas. Ding Darling National Wildlife Reserve, the Sanibel Lighthouse, the Shell Museum are characteristic of typical bike rides. Beside these trails are the shell beaches, so if you get tired from riding you can always relax finding your favorite shells.
